Update June 2018. Picked up this 1958 MGA in 2012. My how time flies. This whole website needs some serious updating. The MGA was nice and clean. This shot has Diane behind the wheel in about 2016. Fits her perfectly! Second is our '59 Shasta, bought in 2015. That's me hanging out with the obligatory flamingo and tiki torch in 2018. Third is a '62 Econoline Pickup, which I picked up last year (2017). On the to-do list is converting this rig to all electric. Let's see how that goes - . If the fire gets light under the electric conversion, it will deserve a separate page no doubt.
Update December 2010: We finally finished off our "purified water" after letting it age for four years on oak chips. We blended in a little home-made caramel to give the potion some sweetness. Fantastic sh_t! Mission accomplished. We ended up with about 6 cups of lighter fluid after starting with maybe four cases of wine, producted over two seasons of grape picking and the whole shebang that comes after. Total cost: at least $1,000 in equipment, not counting our time.
Next is a nice way to create some positive Karma - welding a broken angel's wing.
What about wood working? Steve moved into new digs and needed end tables and a coffee table. This set we made entirely from one piece of plywood (and about seventy feet of edging). No rectangles in the design. Pretty cool, huh? The next shot is Steve with his buddy John working on their rigs. Steve's had some liquid leaks and John's had some exhaust leaks. When they left, Steve's was still leaking, but not as bad and John's was leaking maybe a little worse. Some days a diamond, some days a stone (or two). They'll be back.
It turns out that about a week after John and Steve "fixed" the Mustang exhaust, John blew the engine. The saddest part of the story is that he dumped the car off for a thousand bucks without giving me a chance to bid. Heck, I'd have gone 1100.
